Riverside Golf Results for w/c February 24th 2025
Monday February 24th was a winner for Travis Biddle, after his fine 38pts in the Medley Stableford. Balls went out to 35pts on a count back.
NTP’s were : 4th – Travis Biddle ?? and 7th – John Wass ??
The Ladies played a nine hole Stableford on Tuesday and Roz Nash had a great round of 21pts to come away with the Win, over Selma Mayne on 20pts. Balls went out to 18pts.
NTP’s were : 12th – Adel Dal Corobbo 600cm and 18th – Jan Lloyd 337cm.
It was Par for the Members and Visitors on Wednesday, which was played in two Grades.
Michael Golitschenko had a terrific day, claiming the win in A Grade on a well played (+3), with Bodan Bishop in second place with (+1).
Bluey Martin took out B Grade on (+1), in front of Justin Ebbels, with (-1). Balls went out to (-1) on a count back.
NTP’s were : Zilzie Wines 4th – Claude Dawson 234cm, Cookes Pools and Spa’s 7th – Chris D’Amico 120cm, 12th – Justin Ebbles 322cm, Sunbeam Fruits 17th – Claude Dawson 93cm and Deakin Estate Wines 18th – Ang D’Amico 900cm.
Friday saw Peter Ellery take the Win, after battling out a count back against Gary Van Steenis, both on a nice 22pts. Balls went out to 18pts on a count back.
It was Stableford once again for the Ladies on Saturday and Tracey Bryan had a lovely round of 38pts, walking away with the win, in front of Pat Riordan’s 36pts. Balls went out to 35pt on a count back.
NTP’s were : 12th – Lisa Garioch 43cm and 18th – Chitra Rankin 69cm.
It was three Grades on Saturday for the Men, with Darren Gray leaving with the A Grade win, after a count back against runner up, Shawn Clarke, both on 38pts.
Tony Coppola came in with the best score of the day, with an exceptional 42pts and a comfortable win in B Grade. Jack Cook had to contend with a count back to be runner up, with Chris Curley also finishing on 38pts.
It was a count back again in C Grade, with Thomas Halton winning, from Reece Godfrey, when both carded a very good 39pts. Balls went out to 34pts on a count back.
There were two players who played who handled a couple of holes perfectly, being rewarded with an Eagle. Josh Fleming on the Par five 11th and Steve Wilmann on the Par five 2nd.
NTP’s were : Zilzie Wines 4th – Josh Fleming 62cm, 7th – Steve Wilmann 32cm, 12th – Nicholas George 710cm, Sunbeam Fruits 17th – Jacob Ansley 152cm and Deakin Estate Wines 18th – Rob Garioch 215cm.
With only two Women in the field of 43 in Sunday’s Medley Stableford, to see one of them, winning A Grade was pretty impressive.
Lisa Garioch put together a very pleasing round of 38pts, to finish with the top A Grade score, in front of Captain, Michael Wade’s 35pts.
The score of the day and equal score of the week, came from B Grade, when Jonty Dalton smashed out an excellent 42pts, over runner up, Duane Ebbles 39pts. Balls went out to 33pts on a count back.
