Juniors Take the Shield

05 October 2025

On Thursday October 2nd, Coomealla Golf Club held their 2025 Junior Challenge.

Riverside juniors certainly made sure everyone knew they were there, taking out the Frank Geyer shield as a reward for their depth and team spirit. Congratulations to each and everyone one of them.

It doesn't end there either! Riverside's Jonah Faulkhead took out the individual nett event! Well done and well deserved!

Scratch Pennant 2025

28 July 2025

Scratch Pennant 2025 has concluded, and Riverside has taken home one of the two flags up for grabs! Congratulations to our Division 2 side, Riverside Green! 🏆

CHAMPIONS: Kendall Marchment, Nick George, Simon Dale, Scott Webster, Shawn Clarke, Josh Bailey and Geoff Tandy take out Division 2 Pennant.

Our Division 1 side had a fantastic season, finishing on top of the ladder and making the final in convincing fashion. As expected, Coomealla Navy were there to put the challenge to us and at their home course put on a very tough display to take the flag. A great effort from all of our players who had their backs to the wall from the start and put up a strong fight to the very end. Well done on a great season and congratulations to Coomealla 👏

In Division 2, Riverside Green were a force to feared. After winning the Pennant in 2024, they were determined to take out the scratch season in 2025. Going undefeated all season long and putting on a great show in tough conditions in the final against a strong Mildura side to lock in a clean run, this group has brought home 2 Pennants in their last 2 attempts! Absolutely incredible! 🏆

Well done to the Riverside Gold team who fell short just half a point to make it an all Riverside final in Division 2. The experience gained is all positive and the never die attitude is something that can go a long way in the future. Outstanding effort to a group of mostly first time Pennant players showing they have what it takes in the future in the most pure and difficult form of competition golf. You have represented our club incredibly well 👏

Thankyou to all of the loyal members and supporters who showed up to Coomealla at the weekend to support our players, and a huge thanks to all who volunteered throughout the season whether it was caddying, marshalling, cooking a BBQ, starting fields, or being involved in the teams.
See you all in October for Handicap Pennant!
